“Less is more” is an expression used in the Portuguese language to refer that, sometimes, beauty lies in simplicity.
The phrase is from Mies Van der Rohe and is originated at the Bauhaus movement, which opposed the opposed the ornamental aesthetic of the time, looking for a rationalist mentality, where form follows function.
SO-SO furniture follows the same principle, with simple and minimal lines.
This is the SO-SO bench, made by hand, in pine wood. It has a wood bar below the top, giving it a strong structure. It has a finish in water-based stain and natural oil / wax. All articles are made in the SO-SO studio.
